About the Department

Department of Ancient History, Culture & Archaeology was established in the year 1975.Department has good strength of students.

Certificate/ add on cource on “Travel and Tourism” with the department of Geography and “ A Study of Vedic Dharma and its development” (Indian knowledge system) with the department of philosophy and Sanskrit are proposed.

Value Added Programmes:

1. Special Lectures and Workshops are organised regularly by the Department.
2. Workshop on “Travel and Tourism” is organized every year.
3. Induction program is organized every year in the beginning of the session for B.A.-I students of the department.
4. 4Various competitions such as project work, group discussion, power point presentation, etc. are organised.

Extension Activities:

1. Museum visit is organised every year for perceptual and on-sight learning.
2. The Department organises educational tours to places of Historical and Cultural importance.

Skill Oriented Programme:

1. Workshop on Museology is organized for the students for career orientation and entrepreneurship

1. Online teaching through different platforms.
2. Students are provided online study material and pictures on the subject.
